ABOUT THE DIAMOND

The diamond is usually the main part of the engagement ring or any other jewel. The larger it is, the price is hih.
The price of the diamond determined by its size and quality. The diamond has many characteristics that determine its quality among them four main –The 4C’s. Understanding the 4C’s gives the diamond consumer basic knowledge about the quality of the diamond he buys.
The higher the rating, the higher its price. But you don’t have to pay a lot or buying the “best” diamond to receive a beautiful and sparkling diamond. Our job is to help you buy a diamond that looks good for the price you want.

VERY IMPORTANT!
A diamond is very complex and has many other characteristics that affect its quality, price and beauty. You do not have a way to know all of them. So the most important thing is to take a good look at the diamond and try to see that it is clear, beautiful and has the brilliance expected to see in a diamond.

The 4C'S

The 4’cs are the main 4 qualities in a diamond: Carat, Cut, Color and Clarity, that among others qualities that affect its quality, its price and its beauty.

Carat

One carat equals 0.2 grams. Each carat is divided into 100 points. Avoiding round numbers can save you a large amount of money. The larger the diamond the higher the price, but it is not linear, there are jumps in prices in a number of weights such as: 0.30 carat, 0.50, 0.70 1.00 …

Cut

The scale of the cut varies from EXCELLENT to POOR. The quality of the cut determines how light that enters the stone will react and how much light will return, and how much the “fire” and the sparkling of the diamond will be seen. Diamonds with a good proportion of symmetry and brilliance utilize most effectively their interaction with light.

Color

The scale of color varies from D (colorless) to Z (light yellow or brown). Colorless diamonds are very rare. Most of the diamonds used in jewelry are almost colorless with shades of yellow and brown. The recommended color level for the diamond in an engagement ring in white gold is F or G. In yellow gold is also possible a diamond with H color because the contrast between the yellow gold and diamond is high and diamond will still look white.

Clarity

The clarity grades range from FLAWLESS (completely free from defects) to I3. The clarity shows us the extent of the defects in the diamond. The size of the defects, number, color, location, and visibility can all affect the degree of clarity of the diamond. The recommended level of clarity is SI1 or SI2.

VERY IMPORTANT!

The diamond has many other qualities that affect its quality, its price and its beauty. You can not really compare two diamonds if you do not know all of them. A gemological certificate for a diamond can facilitate comparison, but there is still no guarantee that both diamonds are identical in their characteristics. So first of all, you have to see if the diamond is beautiful and shiny and, if its price is reasonable for its quality.
